Having an accountant for a mum and mathematician for a dad has probably influenced my career path to some degree.

I chose to begin training straight after my GCSEs and I have certainly never looked back. Higher education is not essential to success so don’t feel pressurised! You can make it through hard work and perseverance.

I have had a chance to work within both the private and public sectors and it is certainly a good idea to experiment whilst you are still young. You have to be prepared to put the time in; it is not just handed to you on a plate.
