Despite being encouraged to stay on at school, I was determined to leave after my GCSEs and start earning some money.

I was taken on as a trainee accounting technician by a local company and soon passed my AAT exams and then transferred on to the CAT. During my training my company offered me a tremendous amount of support professionally and financially. As a result I am now qualified and have no regrets whatsoever about having left school at 16.
